Our Story

Our story began in 2014, I had my degree in art at Ecole des bozarts in France, and I returned to Morocco in Marrakesh in order to help my grandfather he was an artisan who made Moroccan handmade rugs, he was very talented, and he taught me all about the Moroccan art also handmade Moroccan rugs, I woke up every day happy and motivated to go to the work and meet my grandfather, I was very patient by art, I had had a very huge experience in Moroccan handmade art, especially rugs he taught me how to respect the value of the Moroccan rug

in 2018 my grandfather passed away, I was very desperate it was very hard to carry on all alone, 3 month I did not do anything it was very difficult to return to the shop or to the factory where we made rugs, after 5 months of the death of my grandfather, I decided to carry on the work it was the very complected situation because all employees left the company because the activity was stopped for 5 month, every employee had children to feed, I have decided to contact them one by one, in order to convince them to return to the work.

I called Ms. Karima and Rabiaa they worked many years with my grandfather, they have 15 years of experience in handmade rugs, they fed their child by working in crafts, also they were in a very bad situation, they did not even have much to pay the bills of electricity, I convince them to return to work and show them my a long term strategy, they start to trust me, I promised them a good future, we were just three members.

we started to sell our rugs to the tourists who visit Marrakesh, and we see that all the customer who buys our rugs contact us when they go to their country in order to send them more rugs, that is what makes us very motivated, we sell over 1000 rugs all over the world.

I decided to build my own website craftilymarrakesh in order to reach more customers, also in order to structure the business .

Today Maria and Rabiaa for which I'm grateful, are responsible for the factory, also we decide to expand our structure, so we decide to recruit Yassin in 2019 in order to manage customer service and Maria how to manage the back line service, also in order to preserve the rugs from any dirt we recruit Sami and Raya who are responsible for the packaging and the control of every single rug before the packaging

Given our experience we find out that every customer before buying his rug, he hesitate which of the rugs he will choose from 1000 rugs, we know it is difficult to choose the one that goes with his or her living room, that is why we decide to recruit Sara who is responsible for design and decor, our customer send her the picture of his living room and she helps him to choose the right rug that goes with his living room.

To sum  up I want to thank all our customers who trusted us from the start, also my grandfather without him I m nothing
